These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PreceviaLaw website, legal practice management software platform, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
PreceviaLaw ("PreceviaLaw," "we," "us," or "our") provides cloud-based legal practice management software designed for law firms and legal professionals. Our Services include matter management, time tracking, billing, document management, client portals, trust accounting, and related tools.
Important: PreceviaLaw is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or legal services. We provide software tools to help legal professionals manage their practices.
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
If you are using the Services on behalf of a law firm or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- Use strong passwords and enable multi-factor authentication when available
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account
Account administrators are responsible for managing user access within their organization and ensuring appropriate permissions are set.
PreceviaLaw provides tools that may include:
- Matter and case management
- Time tracking and billing
- Trust accounting and IOLTA management
- Document management and storage
- Client portal for secure communication
- Calendar and deadline management
- AI-assisted features (legal research, document drafting assistance)
- Integrations with third-party services (Google Workspace, payment processors, etc.)
- Reporting and analytics
Features may vary by subscription plan and may change over time.
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of professional responsibility rules
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems not authorized to you
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or interfere with platform security or performance
- Reverse engineer, copy, resell, or sublicense the Services
- Use the Services to store or transmit content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Circumvent usage limits, access controls, or security measures
- Use automated systems to access the Services except through approved APIs
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
You are responsible for:
- The accuracy and legality of information you upload to the Services
- Ensuring you have proper authorization to store and process client data
- Compliance with all applicable professional responsibility rules, bar regulations, and ethics requirements
- Maintaining appropriate attorney-client privilege protections
- Compliance with trust accounting rules in your jurisdiction
- Proper supervision of staff and users within your organization
Data Ownership: You retain all ownership rights to your data. We do not claim ownership of content you upload to the Services.
Certain features of the Services may use artificial intelligence, including:
- Legal research assistance
- Document drafting suggestions
- AI Senior Partner chat
- Conflict checking assistance
You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated content is provided for informational and productivity purposes only
- AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies
- AI outputs do not constitute legal advice
- You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all AI-assisted content before use
- Professional judgment must be exercised when using AI features
Important: PreceviaLaw does not provide legal advice. AI features are tools to assist licensed attorneys, not replacements for professional judgment. Attorneys must review and verify all outputs.
The Services may integrate with third-party platforms, including Google Workspace, Square, Dropbox, and others. Your use of those platforms is subject to their respective terms and policies.
PreceviaLaw:
- Does not control third-party platforms or their data practices
- Is not responsible for platform outages, restrictions, or policy changes
- Does not guarantee continued availability of any third-party integration
- Is not liable for any issues arising from third-party services
You may disconnect integrations at any time through your account settings.
If you purchase a paid subscription:
- Fees are billed according to your selected plan (monthly or annually)
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Payments are processed through our third-party payment processor (Square)
- Payments are non-refundable except as required by law or expressly stated in our refund policy
- We may modify pricing or plans with at least 30 days' notice
- You are responsible for all applicable taxes
Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of access to the Services.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Upon cancellation:
- Access will continue until the end of your current billing period
- You may export your data before the cancellation takes effect
- Data will be retained for 30 days after cancellation, then permanently deleted
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
- You violate these Terms
- Your use poses legal, security, or compliance risks
- Required by law or legal process
- Your account remains unpaid after notice
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Services may be temporarily unavailable due to:
- Scheduled maintenance (with advance notice when possible)
- Emergency maintenance or security updates
- Factors beyond our reasonable control

All software, content, trademarks, logos, and materials provided through the Services are owned by PreceviaLaw or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services during your subscription term for your internal business purposes only.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Services without our written permission.
We understand the sensitive nature of legal practice data. We will:
- Treat your data as confidential information
- Not access your data except as necessary to provide the Services or as required by law
- Implement appropriate security measures as described in our Privacy Policy
- Not use your data for purposes other than providing the Services
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:
- WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT
We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- PreceviaLaw shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount paid by you to PreceviaLaw in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for any damages arising from third-party services or integrations
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PreceviaLaw, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Services
- Content you upload or approve
- Violations of professional responsibility or ethics rules
- Your violation of these Terms or applicable law
- Your violation of any third-party rights
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for violations of intellectual property rights or confidentiality obligations.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:
- We will update the effective date at the top of this page
- For material changes, we will provide notice through the Services or via email
- Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Services and cancel your subscription.
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PreceviaLaw.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
